How to find the most Beautifully Instagrammable places in Bucharest

Manuc’s Inn

This Ottoman inn dates back to 1808 and welcomed travelling caravans from across Europe. Take a wander or stop for a drink in the courtyard and snap some of the intricate Ottoman architecture. Look out for the big ginger cat, he’s a great subject too!

Curtea Veche

This old Princely Court is located a few paces away from Manuc’s Inn. Don’t miss the intimidating bust of Vlad III Dracula that still remains in the court. This Bucharest Instagram spot is full of history!

Arcul de Triumf (The Arch of Triumph)

This picturesque arc was built in 1878 when Romania gained her independence. If you visit in the spring, make sure to capture the beautiful cherry blossoms as well. However, the Arc is impressive all year round.

Muzeul Satului (Village Museum)

This open-air ethnographic museum is an exhibition of traditional Romanian village life. Capture the beautiful, historic buildings and surrounding nature.

CEC Palace

The Savings Bank Palace in Bucharest is the headquarters of the oldest Romanian bank. Admire the grand architecture and take some incredible snaps of this iconic building.

Bulandra – Sala Liviu Ciulei

The Bulandra Theatre of Bucharest is a prominent building along the Dâmbovița River. This is another amazing example of the beautiful architecture found throughout the city.

Palatul Cantacuzino (George Enescu Museum)

The National Museum was opened within the Cantacuzino Palace and is considered to be one of the most beautiful buildings in Bucharest. Make sure you don’t miss this incredible Bucharest Instagram spot.

Palace of the Parliament

Bulevardul Unirii, leads to the monstrous Palace of the Parliament. Lacking the elegance of some of the earlier architecture in Bucharest, this colossal, imposing building is still very worthy of a snap.

Carturesti Carusel Bookstore

Arguably one of the most beautifully Instagrammable places in Bucharest. This bookshop is relaxing, peaceful and oh so photogenic. Stop by early in the morning to avoid crowds.

Stavropoleos Church

This Eastern Orthodox nunnery was built in 1724. Take some beautiful shots in the courtyard and don’t miss the incredible frescos inside the church.

The Russian Church

As far as Bucharest Instagram spots go, this one is a bit different. The gold domes of this stunning Russian church shine from behind the greenery and make a beautiful picture. However, keep your eyes peeled as it is quite well hidden, despite its decadence.

Odeon Theatre

This Odeon must be one of the grandest cinemas in the Balkans. If your Romanian isn’t up to scratch, it also shows English language films or films with English subtitles.

Museum of Bucharest

The museum has been set inside the incredible Neo-Gothic Şuţu Palace since 1956. The main staircase is particularly impressive but there are photo opportunities everywhere you look throughout this stunning palace.

Macca House

If you appreciate Art Nouveau or enjoy exploring “Urban decay” this is the Bucharest Instagram spot for you! Built in the late 1800s it is still full of character and charm and makes a cracking Instagram location.

House of the Free Press (Casa Presei)

Casa Presei was the tallest building in Bucharest between 1956 and 2007. Many of todays newspapers still have their headquarters within this building and the Stalinist architecture makes it one of the most interesting and Instagrammable places in Bucharest

Arthur Verona Street

The walls of Strada Arthur Verona are covered in quirky and colorful artworks. Stop by to appreciate the lively street art, perfect for the ‘gram.

This one is a little predictable – more umbrellas on Instagram… But the colors are so cheerful making it worth a look if you’re in the area (it’s only a 2 minute walk from the Odeon)

A contender for one of the most beautiful places in Bucharest. Capture this stunning indoor street from different angles to find its best side. Definitely one of the best Bucharest Instagram locations, even on a wet day!

Explore the largest park in Bucharest! Cismigiu Gardens is full of Insta opportunities, even on a wet winter’s evening. Don’t miss the boating lake or the bandstand.

Energiea

Situated in an old print works, Energiea has maintained it’s industrial past making it one of the coolest places to dine in the city. However, deciding what to choose is tricky, but the burger and the ribs were both incredible.

Caru’ cu Bere

A totally different vibe in here! Snap some of the beautiful interior or, if you’re lucky, you might capture the live string quartet that often perform in the restaurant. Whenever you go the food is tasty and traditional.

For the fanciest French Eclairs, don’t miss the colorful and delicious French Revolution. However, choosing just one (or two) is the hardest part!
